In order to make sure every guest has a great trip each time they make a Target run or visit us online, we commit substantial time and energy to understanding what is important to them. The Guest Center of Excellence collects insights about our guests through primary research (e.g. surveys, in-home interviews, in store shop-alongs) and secondary sources to create a clear perspective on consumer sentiment and behavior for the entire company. This ensures that the guest is at the center of all we do. The Guest COE is looking for a designer with a natural curiosity to learn more about our guests, and a desire to make their lives better. As a Creative Specialist, you will design and execute material to educate Target's 8,500 headquarter employees about Target guests, and inspire them to make better assortment and service decisions on the guest's behalf. The collateral should drive action, increase traffic to our internal website focused on all things guest, and enhance the Guest COE's brand. This role supports the entire Guest COE team, with priority given to marketing, communications and trainings.  In this role, you would also provide general support for trainings and events. This would allow you to see how and when the creative collateral is used, and get real-time feedback to push thinking forward.About you:
  • A compelling designer and storyteller who can to bring information to life for the Target enterprise through various mediums, such as video, digital and print
  • Willingness to immerse yourself in guest data and stories in order to create impactful creative collateral for a range of internal and external audiences
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and synthesize existing information to create visuals that best represent the guest story or point of view
  • Ability to organize and plan details for multiple projects and make timely and quick decisions in order to meet project deadlines
  • Desire to stay up-to-date on emerging trends, innovation and technological advancements in the storytelling and communication fields
  • Exceptional eye for detail¬†and ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to take direction, be flexible and open to change
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts or related area
  • 2+ of relevant experience
  • Expert knowledge of and experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with video editing suites such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Strong visual, listening and communication skills
  • Portfolio of samples demonstrating Target brand expectations
