Job Summary:

Sources, recruits, screens, interviews, recommends, and selects candidates for positions to ensure adequate staffing for assigned area(s) of the Gaming Enterprise and the SMSC enterprises, departments, and services as requested. Extends offers to selected candidates. Facilitates the employment onboarding process for applicants. Provides information to hiring managers, team members, and applicants regarding organizational Employment policies and guidelines.

Responsible for maintaining recruiting information to all applicable social media outlets, as well as coordinating the recruiting online activity, and tracking social media influence measurements. Leads and coordinates online and digital recruiting efforts with an emphasis on growing the digital presence of Mystic Lake and SMSC online. Assists with efforts to grow the social media presence and works to optimize the digital tools utilized to recruit and retain using digital strategies.

Job Duties:

  1. Execute social media recruiting strategy by developing new online communities on the enterprise's behalf using online social media. Prioritize social media channels based on overall objectives.
  2. Create engaging branded content and campaigns for social media recruiting networks. Provide relevant content daily to all applicable social media outlets. Ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks. Provide continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites and relevant conversations.
  3. Sources, recruits, screens, interviews, recommends and selects candidates for positions. Schedules and conducts interviews with candidates for placement.
  4. Administers pre-employment tests and checks references when required.
  5. Extends offers to selected candidates, working with management of the assigned area and with the Compensation department to determine the selected candidate's offer rate.
  6. Provides applicants with information regarding the position, benefits, and career or job opportunities.
  7. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management. Consults with management of assigned area(s) to identify and recommend the most qualified candidates for positions.
  8. Facilitates and documents the job posting, job requisition, recruitment, and selection processes. This includes using an online applicant tracking system and providing technical support to applicants and managers using the applicant tracking system.
  9. Builds relationships with applicants and potential applicants to develop a pipeline of applicants for positions. Provides coaching on resumes, applications, and interview skills.
  10. Keeps informed of developments in such areas as wages and salaries, team member and employee benefits, Gaming Enterprise policies and procedures, employment and labor law, and current recruiting trends and activities.



  1. Any combination of post-secondary education and experience in recruitment, selection, and placement, communication/marketing to equal three years
  2. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, database, electronic calendar, and electronic mail software.
  3. Experience working with applicant tracking systems and utilizing social media for recruitment.
  4. Able to efficiently use multiple forms of technology.


  1. Bachelors degree in business, Human Resources, or related degree and two years of related social media recruiting experience.
  2. Experience recruiting high volume, entry level, service-industry positions.
  3. Experience using electronic tools for recruiting, applicant tracking and onboarding.
  4. Experience working in a highly regulated industry/environment.
  5. Possess a solid understanding of the social media and marketing universe including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, Reddit, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, Google+, LinkedIn, Swarm, Vine, etc.
  6. Understanding of digital marketing methodology.
  7. Experience with creating and identifying quality social media content.
