Continuous Improvement Coordinator
Position Summary The overall purpose of this entry-level position is to work closely with VP of Operations to develop and implement processes designed to improve productivity, improve quality, improve yield, and improve working conditions, and to reduce costs.
Responsibilities Lead implementation of lean manufacturing practices Lead implementation of continuous improvement team Develop and implement training matrices, standard operating procedures, and job descriptions. Identify strengths and weaknesses of machine operators in order to improve efficiency and skills Improve efficiency and performance of equipment and machines Identify gaps in the process for improving usage variance Develop and deliver training Develop and maintain documentation and reports Maintain safe and orderly work environment Understand and abide by company policy Understand and comply with PPE requirements Understand and comply with Health & Safety requirements
Academic / Educational Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Skills / Experience Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office tools required Strong written and verbal communication skills required Ability to influence employees without direct authority across all functions and areas of the business in order to be able to implement improvements and sustain results Ability to create and maintain documentation and reports Ability to create and deliver training Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with employees of all levels Ability to work in non-climate controlled manufacturing facility Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work overtime and weekends as required Strong organizational skills Basic math skills Ability to lift up 50 lbs Ability to use standard measuring tools Manufacturing experience a plus Ability to speak Spanish a plus
