Humera is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our client in Plymouth to support the Bio Chemistry and Food Application department.

This position will be part of a broader Administrative Services Team that provides support to Research & Development and the Minneapolis buildings we reside within. You must possess strong interpersonal skills, have attention to detail and the have the ability to work well within a team to accomplish similar goals and outcomes. Having the ability to assist people at various levels of the organization is important so sound judgment in prioritizing will be important.
A major portion of this positions responsibility will be managing day to day administrative duties which will include travel arrangements, direct calls and inquiries, prepare expense reports, managing calendars, meeting set up, monitor travel expenses and catering for various members of the Research & Development function. This person must be highly organized, have strong initiative and follow through skills and appropriately handle confidential materials. You will add value as a member of our team through strong administrative, organizational, technical and communication skills.
Duties:
  • 25% Manage day to day administrative duties which may include travel arrangements, direct calls and inquiries, prepare expense reports, managing calendars, meeting set up, monitor travel expenses and catering
  • 15% Work with other team members on coordination of customer visits to our Research & Development buildings
  • 10% Managing incoming mail and scan and transition documentation to appropriate purchasing agents
  • 10% Work with Admin Services Team in planning events and activities for function
  • 10% Work within requisition system to assist in ordering materials for buildings
  • 10% Support coordination of building work to be done
  • 10% Records Information Coordination for function
  • 10% Special projects

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of administrative experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Works well within a team
  • Customer service focused
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under general supervision
  • Must be flexible and exhibit positive attitude
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Intermediate to skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and willingness to take on additional projects and tasks as needed
