BUSINESS ANALYST - TEMPORARY (JULY - DECEMBER 2017)

Position Description

As part of the Digital Experience Program, this position ensures that enhancements to UCare websites, portals, mobile applications and other externally-facing products support organizational goals and business needs. The business analyst is responsible for identifying business needs and translating and documenting them into detailed requirements. This position also plans and oversees UAT for all externally-facing digital projects.

·Interact with Project Sponsors, Owners, Team Members, Vendors and Subject Matter Experts to understand the business problem that needs to be solved and gather, document and confirm business requirements.

·Assist the technical resources in understanding and translating business requirements for the purpose of developing functional requirements.

·Assist the Program Manager/Project Manager to identify, complete and communicate all required activities, deliverables and tollgates according to the Project Execution Process.

·Interact with Program/Project Manager to track project progress, identify risks, communicate risks and status, and assess potential impacts to the business.

·Support the development of current and future state process maps

·Develop use cases as a key communication tool between the business, technical and vendor teams. Document current & future state assessments.

·Plan and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for assigned UCare projects.  Author UAT documentation deliverables (UAT Test Plan, UAT Test Results, and UAT Defect Log).  Coach business users in their roles and responsibilities for UAT, including UAT test planning, UAT test execution and user acceptance criteria.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Business or related discipline preferred; demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three or more years of Business Analysis experience, including UAT.

Preferred Experience

Experience in health care or managed care.

Experience with digital transformations including website or portal development.

Experience working with technology vendors to jointly develop and deploy business solutions.
