Our client in Olathe, KS is looking for material handlers on their first shift - 9:00am - 5:30pm.
Starting pay will be $14.50 with the opportunity to go permanent.
You will be responsible for...
the storage and shipment of customer-ready products, including loading and unloading shipments, packing goods, preparing export shipments, and completing the appropriate paperwork for inventory control and documentation purposes. May be assigned to one or more basic areas of responsibility, assisting in other areas such as Central Stores as needed. Maintains stock of abrasive and diamond blades and other finished products ready for resale to customers. Unloads deliveries of these products by use of stand-up reach truck and verifies packing lists before stocking. Responsible for restocking merchandise returned by customers. Handles shipments and customer pick-ups that by-pass normal shipping procedures for walk-in customers or next day orders. Verifies accuracy of information and shipment.
Using reach truck, moves finished saws and cutting equipment from assembly line to storage location and notes location on receiver, which is then forwarded to Inventory Services. Pulls saws, blades and other goods from storage locations for shipment to customers according to shipping orders. Prepare goods for domestic and export shipment to customer via airline, UPS/Fed-Ex small package, truck line or local delivery service. Works closely with truck drivers to ensure proper shipments are picked up.
