REGIONAL CATEGORY SPECIALIST

Nilfisk, Inc. and its affiliates are a world's leading supplier and trader of professional commercial and industrial cleaning equipment with manufacturing facilities in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Hungary, USA, Singapore and China. This full time procurement position at Nilfisk is responsible for: optimizing total cost of ownership in relation to direct materials (parts) within categories of responsibility; identifying, researching, and evaluating suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply; suppliers selections in Plastics category; implementation of changes to supplier base; implementation of new tools and work methods according to Global Procurement & Global Operations strategy; project management and stakeholder management; procurement activity; and collaboration with the technical departments, product management and other stakeholders to secure successful implementation of new product developments at suppliers. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or economics or related field or equivalent foreign degree, plus 3 years of strategic and operational procurement employment experience with a global manufacturing industry of industrial mechanical automated equipment, involving procurement within the plastics category, category management and advanced strategic sourcing methodologies, and contract execution across a range of contract structures for Commodity / Non-Commodity Goods and Services (e.g. Business Process Outsourcing).
