Humera is looking for Customer Service Associates for a DIRECT HIRE position with our client, a banking services provider, in Mankato, MN.

As a Customer Service Associate, our members come to you for some pretty important things! They might be running into some issues with their credit or debit card not working, needing help working out a budget to keep them on track for their financial goals or even inquiring about a loan on a car they've had their eye on for a while.
The fun part is being able engage each member, as a Customer Service Associate, and really help them get to where they want to be. We want you to take time to get to know each member's story and figure out the best way we can help them. This isn't a “bank teller” position; it's a true advisor role.
    Duties:
  • Listening to the member to understand their needs and goals
  • Determining different types of consumer loan and credit options that are available to the member
  • Troubleshooting with members with credit or debit card issues, online banking questions or other general issues about their account
  • Partnering with our members to create a personal budget and figuring out what financial goals they want to work towards
  • Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications
  • Analyze member's financial situation and credit report to determine if it is in the member's best interest to approve the loan
  • Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy and gathering appropriate required documentation
  • Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval
  • Open membership accounts including, but not limited to: savings, checking, certificates of deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA)
  • Identify and recommend products and services aligning with member's needs
  • Process deposit/withdraw of funds in checking, savings, and loan accounts
  • Execute wire or ACH transferring of funds
  • Instant issue debit, credit, and gift cards
  • Balance and maintain personal cash drawer and branch vault

    Qualifications and Skills:
  • Innate ability and drive to build open and honest relationships with each and every member
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills - you have the freedom to be creative!
  • Independent decision making and ability to back-up your decisions
  • Effective time management skills and ability to balance and prioritize tasks
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively through face-to-face or written communication - Being bilingual is a plus!
  • Listen, analyze and advise members with their own finances, making decisions on what's right for our members.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast paced environment
  • Intermediate Computer Skills - You must have the ability to navigate between multiple systems with ease
  • 2 - 3 years of customer service experience and 1 to 2 years consumer lending experience
  • Associated Degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
    Workplace Environment:
  • Sitting 70-80% and standing 20-30% which is determined on your rotation within the branch
  • Working at a computer 98% of the day
  • Utilizing the phone 40-60%
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
  • Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc.
  • Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds (cash/coin bags, supplies, etc.)

    Required Work Schedule:
  • Rotating shifts of:
    7:30-4:00 8:30-5:00 or
    10:00-6:00 All with rotating Saturday shifts
