Cheer Coach - Community Ed Youth Instructors
Community Ed Youth Instructors and Asst. Instructors are responsible for delivery of curriculum of Community School Programs for Preschool-Grade 8.  

Date & Hours: 10/23/17 thru 1/15/18; After school practice is one to two days a week, Monday thru Thursday (flexible practice dates), approx 3:15 pm to approx 5:15 pm.  Season ends  in mid-January at the District cheer show.

Location:  Roosevelt Middle

Duties include:  Cheer coaching - conduct practice, skill development for cheers and technique, developing routines and performances.   Provide student safety and program presentation.  Perform other duties as assigned.  (Concussion training is required.)

Minimum Qualifications:  High School Diploma or equivalent.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.  Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.  (Concussion training is required.)

Preferred Qualifications:   Previous Cheerleading and/or Cheerleading coaching experience preferred.  Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred.  Advanced training or college degree preferred for coach and assistant coach positions preferred.  Previous experience working with middle school ages students preferred.
