We are currently looking for a dedicated, energetic Payroll Accountant with the necessary skills, initiative, and personality, along with the desire to get the most out of their working life, to help us be our best every day. Responsibilities:

Payroll
• Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll ADP
• Perform research and provide answers for employee payroll inquiries
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, garnishments, and liens
• Reconcile payroll and audit payroll reports

Accounts Payable
• Review invoices and check requests for coding and authority levels
• Record invoices and manage weekly disbursements
• Ability to analyze data and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Vendor file maintenance
• Accrue expenses for invoices not received

Accounts Receivable
• Prepare customer invoices, record deposits, and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Follow up on overdue invoices
• Maintain customer files

General Ledger
• Ability to analyze data and prepare journal entries
• Maintain General Ledger and chart of accounts
• Assist in month-end closing and prepare reports
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

Other
• Record and maintain Fixed Assets and prepaid assets
• Daily Cash Management and Petty Cash
• Assist in special projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting strongly preferred
• 2-5 years minimum of payroll experience required, preferably with ADP Workforce
• Knowledge of wage and hour laws required
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of payroll/accounting
• Ability to understand employee payroll issues, and to communicate solutions effectively, professionally and respectfully
• 2 – 5 years in an accounting department or an accounting role required
• 1 – 2 years of previous experience of practical related accounting (AP/GL)
• Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, employees, and customers
• Accuracy, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to keep sensitive information secure and confidential
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
