MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Doherty Staffing Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our client company located in Monticello, MN. Our client is a leader in the die casting industry. This person will train on 1st shift for the first month and then will move to the 2nd shift. The pay is up to 25+ per hour depending on skills and experience.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician will perform troubleshooting and machine overhauls using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Duties also include installation, maintenance and repair of production or processing equipment, fabricating machine guards, installing or repairing conveyers, replacing or tearing down motors and pumps, ensuring work area is clean and providing training to less experienced maintenance staff.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
--Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
--Repair and/or replace defective equipment
--Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines
--Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
--Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and other maintenance actions
--Use hand and power tools to include hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices
--Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
--Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
--Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work
--Responsible for knowing and following all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others


MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
--Skilled in mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding and electrical, and PLC (programmable logic control)
--Training in vocational schools, related on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree
