We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team with a growing manufacturing client. This role is a great opportunity for a detail oriented and critical thinking individual to work with directors and managers across the organization. This position will be responsible for supporting monthly forecasting and reporting, annual budgeting, and ad hoc reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cost center owners to deliver timely and accurate monthly financial forecasts
Perform cost center variance analysis and identify business drivers, trends, risks and opportunities-Participate in annual budget process to develop cost center budgets in alignment with corporate initiatives
Help maintain, improve and build budget and forecast models, templates and analytical tools
Communicate functional and cost center financial results, forecasts, metrics and other management and performance data including preparation of reports
Support preparation of monthly reviews of actual results and updated forecasts to executive leadership 
Partner with accounting to facilitate variance analysis and alignment of financial reporting and budget and forecasts
Assist in development of the 5 year financial model based on company’s planning needs and strategic direction
Perform ad hoc business analysis as needed, including: research, presenting alternative strategies to current plans, modeling impact of various business decisions

Education & Experience
MBA and/or CPA preferred
5+ years of related work experience, preferably FP&A
Understanding of accounting policies and G.A.A.P. 
Manufacturing industry experience preferred, including standard cost process and variances. 
Experience utilizing financial application tools, particularly SAP or an equivalent ERP system

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Capacity to work with limited supervision, independently and as a team member
Self-motivation and initiative to improve processes, resolve uncertainties and drive results
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication with all levels of organization
Strong and intuitive financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling
Ability to convey financial information, insights and different perspectives to business managers
Experience with P&L analysis and understanding of accounting basics
