SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST - Minneapolis, MN
For an independent, non-profit health plan provider of health coverage and services, the Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for following standards and best practices within the Quality Assurance program. The Sr. QA Analyst assists in the development and maintenance of regression and integrated test scenarios to sustain usability and mitigate risks, and will develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. The Sr QA Analyst gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The Sr QA Analyst applies proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.
Job duties include:
·Collaborate with business partners, IT team leads, project leads, business analysts, end users and third party contacts to design, plan, execute, and validate test scenarios, scripts, or procedures to test system modifications and receive business user acceptance prior to implementation;
·Develop and test automation framework using Selenium and C#;
·Design and develop automated test scripts and scenarios;
·Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles;
·Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability;
·Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screens, or content;
·Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers and project managers or leads;
·Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes;
·Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, product design, schedules, or potential risks;
·Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
·Utilize the following tools and technologies: Selenium, C#, Bugzilla, XML, and UNIX.
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or closely related IT field of study.
The qualified candidate must have at least three years (36 months) of experience as a software Quality Assurance Analyst working with health insurance-related systems such as programs for Medicaid, Medicare, managed care and private insurance programs and at least three years (36 months) of experience designing test scenarios and test scripts, mapping requirements, building automation frameworks for applications using Selenium, utilizing the following tools and technologies: Selenium, C#, Bugzilla, XML, and UNIX.
