Humera is looking for a Paralegal or Lawyer for the Contracts division for our client in Wayzata.

Our client provides food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and is committed to feeding the world in a responsible way, reducing environmental impact and improving the communities where we live and work. This is a short-term, contract assignment! The candidate in this position will support our client's legal team. This is a short-term, contract assignment.
Duties:
  • Independently review, draft, issue spot, evaluate risk and negotiate various contracts using the group's playbooks, templates and your good judgment
  • Contract types include: services, NDA's, software license, procurement (sourcing of services, product, etc.), distribution, external manufacturing/tolling, independent contractors, storage and handling, warehousing, leases (non-real estate), brokers, bills of sale, consignment
  • Ability to collaborate with the client and other team members in order to meet contract deadlines
  • Willing to propose and follow through with a reasonable approach and negotiation position while finalizing contracts in an expeditious manner
  • Solutions oriented and the ability to provide alternative solutions

Requirements:
    Education Required:
  • College degree or relevant paralegal certificate; if lawyer also 'needs a JD
    Other Required Experience/Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Depending on the type of experience we are open to either a paralegal or lawyer for this project
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels and to clearly articulate the position, risks and concerns
  • Comfortable with electronic records, document management systems, and Microsoft Office products (mostly Word and Outlook)

    Monday - Friday
    5 days a week
    8:00 am - 4:30 pm
