Humera is seeking a Senior HR Manager for our client in St. Paul, MN. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Human Resources Manager will be responsible for day to day and long-term leadership of the HR department. This individual will also be responsible for all Human Resources functions including employee relations, union leadership relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting, workers compensation and compliance.
Duties:
  • Support and work to improve employee (union and non-union) work experience
  • Ensure proper administration of benefit plans and payroll policies and procedures in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.
  • Implement and interpret the collective bargaining agreement, manage grievances, and participate in the negotiation process.
  • Lead the recruitment, selection, training and other onboarding processes to ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Maintain compliance in the areas of employment, benefits, wage and hour, OSHA, workers compensation, unemployment compensation and any other changes effecting employment
  • Develop and implement performance review and salary administration program and ensure effective administration
  • Participate in the representation process of any alleged employment related legal claim
  • Administer the workers compensation program, including working with insurers and legal counsel in the event of disputed claims
  • Coordinate with an insurance broker in the development, renewal and implementation of employee benefit programs
  • Maintain company policies and ensure employee compliance in union and non-union environment
  • Supervise the human resources department personnel

Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing environment, food preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefit regulations and compliance requirements
  • Previous experience in a union environment to include handling grievances and contract negotiations
  • Bachelor's degree, (BA or BS)

8:00 am - 5:00 pm M - F
