Benefits Specialist Our client in Mondovi, WI is looking for a temporary Benefits Specialist. Hours are flexible, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, no weekends. You pick between 7:30am-5pm and plan to leave by 3:30pm on Friday. Compensation is $21.00-27.00 per hour DOE.

Summary

The Benefits Specialist position exists in a professional work environment and will provide consultation, coordination and assistance regarding the company's employee benefits program including health insurance and retirement plans. Previous work experience is necessary to demonstrate that the Benefits Specialist knows the forms, taxes, reporting and questions to ask surrounding benefits. Benefits Specialist Duties/Responsibilities Benefit Administration · Provides consultative services to employees regarding employee benefits, retirement and insurance plans · Processes enrollment changes and terminations · Aids in the development of and updates employee benefits training programs · Assists in creating informational materials, distributes and promotes benefits programs · Monitors industry trends and legislative benefits policies, recommends changes and reports all exceptions · Coordinates open enrollment processes for all employee benefits · Tracks and monitors employee hours worked each pay period for benefit eligibility purposes · Audits and tracks medical insurance eligibility and enrollments for Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting for all employees and their dependents · Verifies eligibility for all employees and their dependents for life and disability insurance · Audits and reconciles monthly billing and makes adjustments as needed

Benefits Reporting · Files IRS Form 5500 Health & Welfare and Form 5500 401k retirement plan · Tracks employee information and reports on mandated IRS Form 1094-c and Form 1095-c for Affordable Care Act · Conducts quarterly benefits audit and works with the operations team to ensure accurate benefits eligibility for employees · Monitors and reports on Flexible Spending Account balances and usage · Generates employee census files as needed for enrollment purposes · Compliance · Audits and tracks compliance records, reports and logs · Completes and files EEO-1 Report annually

Benefits Specialist Requirements · Previous work experience in similar · Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills · Strong attention to detail · Self-directed and able to meet firm deadlines · Strong verbal and written communication skills
