Inginaire is looking for a Quality Technician/ Inspector for out client, the industry leader in the design and manufacture of specialized quick disconnect couplings for the life sciences, industrial, and chemical handling markets, in St. Paul, MN. The Quality Technician/ Inspector is responsible for performing incoming inspections and developing inspection techniques for a variety of molded, machined, die cast, and plated components. This includes monitoring supplier performance and compliance to specification activities by applying inspection plans such as skip lot, supplied data, and new component testing.
Duties:
  • Apply inspection techniques using a variety of hand inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, ring gages and programmable test equipment such as Optical Gaging, Coordinate Measuring Machine and Micro-view.
  • Perform First Article inspections and other complex inspections and maintain appropriate records as needed.
  • Initiate, investigate and resolve non-conformances and maintain appropriate records as needed.
  • Provide support for other inspection functions.
  • Assist in evaluation of inspection methods/fixtures and providing improvement recommendations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering.
  • Assist in evaluating and defining inspection processes for incoming inspection as well as production operations in conjunction with Quality Engineering/Engineering.
  • Operates within company BOS (Quality System).
  • Active participant in Continuous Improvement and Lean projects.
  • Keeps current in the field with internal and external education and training.
  • Acts as QA liaison in cross-functional projects and company representative to suppliers/customers.
  • Assists with quality systems audits with suppliers.
  • Adheres to all safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates support of company core values
  • Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Travel up to 10%

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience in mechanical inspection or related field.
  • Understanding of machining and/or injection molding processes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; Word and Excel.
  • Able to collect, analyze, and report data.
  • Self-driven and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to self-prioritize, multitask and expedite in support of production needs.

Preferred Job Qualifications :
  • Experience in a regulated work environment such as Medical Device/Bio-pharm/ Automotive.
  • Oracle or similar ERP software experience.
  • ASQ participation and certification.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 guidelines and GMP.
