The Data Protection team at Target is looking for a highly creative and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Security Engineering team and build and support world class Insider Threat and Data Protection solutions in support of Target's Security Information and data protections strategies.  As a member of this agile team, you will be charged with constructing and integrating solutions with many popular Open Source technologies, internally developed applications, native cloud services and COTS software.Engineers on this team will also be challenged to provide thought leadership and data protection expertise to improve development practices, simplify processes and optimize platforms.   • Take responsibility for the design/support of existing DLP/Insider Threat security services platform
  • Develop new functionality to expand capabilities in a mature Insider Threat program
  • Implement automation and enhanced monitoring to minimize operational functions
  • Enhance platform infrastructure to maximize platform stability, security and scalability
  • Tightly integrate with the Insider Threat team to provide high-level support
  • Engage in project related activities as required to support and expand platform capabilities
  • Work with IT management and security architects to ensure DLP/Insider Threat systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards and compliance obligations
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment technologies such as: Drone and Jenkins
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as: Chef, Ansible and Consul Template
  • Experience with open-source telemetry solutions such as: Sensu, Graphite, Uchiwa
  • Experience with open-source logging and reporting solutions such as: Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana and Grafana
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages: Powershell, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Java
  • Experience with cloud-based IaaS platforms: AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure, OpenStack
  • Experience with collaborative planning and defect tracking through GitHub
  • Experience with using binary repositories for versioning such as: Artifactory
  • Experience building high-performance infrastructures that are scalable and resilient
  • Ability create clear and detailed technical diagrams and documentation
  • BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of full stack development or relevant work experience
  • Highly productive coder; self-starter and self-motivated
  • Experience in delivering comprehensive solutions for complex security systems
  • In-depth knowledge of security engineering principles
  • Continuous learner with a passion for new and evolving technologies
