The Political Science Department at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 1, 2018. We are seeking a political scientist with a specialization in Judicial Politics and the ability to teach courses such as Judicial Process, Constitutional Powers of Government, Constitutional Rights and Liberties, and Seminar in Judicial Politics. Candidates will also be expected to teach our introductory course, Government and Politics, and an undergraduate research methods course. This position will also include responsibility for pre-law advising and coaching/advising the university's Mock Trial team.

A PhD in political science is strongly preferred. Candidates who are ABD (who would be eligible for an initial rank of instructor) will be considered. All applicants must have demonstrable skills necessary for excellence in teaching.
