ATTENTION HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALISTS! We are partnering with a Plymouth, MN based company in their search for an experienced professional Human Resources Generalist. If you are a highly motivated, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced work environment, we want to talk to you!

The Human Resources Generalist will support the key functions of recruiting, employee relations, compliance and policy, and continuous improvement.

Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:

• Administers the recruitment process by sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, pre-employment assessments, reference checking, and extending offers for positions.
• Trains managers and supervisors on the guidelines for conducting interviews.
• Maintains professional relationships with employment agencies and temporary agencies.
• Serves as the first point of contact for employees with HR related concerns.
• Conducts investigations and assists managers and supervisors with writing corrective actions and/or performance improvement plans.
• Provides effective coaching and counseling to resolve employee issues.
• Administers performance appraisals and supports supervisors with performance management issues.
• Conducts new hire orientation and other training as applicable.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, including EEO/Affirmative Action plans.
• Provides guidance and support in administering human resource policies and procedures.
• Administers worker's compensation claims and unemployment claims.

Human Resources Generalist Skills:

• Sound understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations.
• Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans.
• Ability to proactively assess situations and use good judgment to resolve issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with associates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Human Resources Generalist Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or Organization Development.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources positions.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.
