PRIMARY FUNCTIONOversees the development/execution of In-Store marketing-based creative and experiential assignments. Manages creative project teams, agencies and partners to bring business strategies to life for designated categories/businesses. Establishes creative concept/campaign, and ensures campaign consistency across media types for both internal and external work.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads complex creative projects across multiple departments
  • Driven to solve business problems through creative
  • Articulates the creative vision, and guides several multi-disciplinary creative teams in partnership with Creative Leadership
  • Works with Creative leadership to determine if creative work is performed internally or is handled externally, based on available resources, business objectives and capabilities
  • Accountable and oversees development and execution of creative work (standards, innovation, consistency) for assigned businesses/categories, aligned to overall Marketing strategic goals
  • Partners effectively with In-Store Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PD&D, Business Category and Merchandising leadership to ensure creative is meeting the needs of Marketing, Merchandising and pre-determined business strategies
  • Leads and presents In-Store Marketing creative and store experience concepts to key leaders (Marketing and Merchant VP/SVP teams)
  • Approves creative design language, system, seasonal work, prototypes and category concepts as translated for in-store environment, for marketing campaigns
  • Ensures all work is on brand, meets Target's creative quality standards and is coordinated and consistent across internal/external teams, and can be feasibly executed within time constraints and budget.

  • Partners closely with Directors of ISM, Visual Merchandising, Category Marketing, PD&D, Merchants, & Directors of MPD, Store Planning, and execution teams
  • Oversees and provides leadership to assigned internal creative teams and external agencies
  • Creative agencies and internal strategy, ism, visual merchandising, business and creative teams.
  • SVP, VPs, Sr. Directors and Directors across Marketing, ¬†
  • SVP, VPs, Sr. Directors and Directors across Merchandising
  • SVP, VP's Sr.Directors and Directors across PD&D
  • Third Parties providing creative services
  • 10-12¬†years' experience in leading creative functions and teams in retail, graphic design, advertising or related industry
  • Possesses a high creative taste level, is drawn to newness, open to inspiration from a variety of sources, and driven to solve problems creatively
  • Proficient in MAC computer programs: InDesign, Illustrator etc
  • Creative portfolio demonstrating Target brand expectations
  • Autonomous, performs work independently
  • Ability and experience in communicating vision in an inspiring way
  • Ability to provide clear, and actionable feedback on creative work
  • Able to see solutions from a Guest's perspective and deliver against business needs without sacrificing creative vision
  • Firm understanding and proven track record of driving the business through creative.
