Healthcare Scholarship Job and Training Opportunity
Do you want to help others and make a difference? GracePointe Crossing is offering this opportunity for ages 16 and older, to be interviewed for Resident Assistant positions at their Cambridge Campus. Those who are chosen will be awarded a scholarship to attend the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide course at Anoka Ramsey Community College. Upon successful completion of this state approved course, students will take the state test to be officially placed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry and will start their employment at GracePointe Crossing (we currently have full and part time positions open upon completion/testing)*. This is a combined value of $961.00!
If you would like to interview for one of these positions the Deadline for applications is October 6th, 2017. Interviews will take place at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge October 9 through October 20th, 2017. Candidates who are interviewed and selected for this position will receive a conditional job offer and will need to successfully complete the pre-employment health screen, Tuberculosis Blood Test, and criminal background check prior to beginning the program on November 4th, 2017.
If you are under 18, and you receive a conditional job offer and scholarship, you will receive a parental permission slip that will need to be returned to proceed. This permission slip will allow you to complete the pre-employment health screen, Tuberculosis Blood Test, and criminal background check prior to beginning the program.

Skills labs will be held on:
Saturday and Sunday November 4th , 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th.
December 2nd, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Clinicals will be held:
Saturday and Sunday December 3rd, 9th and 10th 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

The Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA (Resident Assistant) is responsible for the provision of high quality personal care and services to residents to support the Personally Designed Living choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices.
- Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in state(s) in which he/she practices OR successful completion of a home health aide instruction course and successful completion of home health aide competency testing to work in Home Care.
- Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, elder/resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
