The Department of Revenue will be filling multiple auditor vacancies starting on January 22, 2018. Revenue Auditor vacancies will be located in Madison while Revenue Field Auditor vacancies may be located in the following Wisconsin cities: Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Onalaska; Edina, MN or Glen Ellyn, IL.
Revenue Auditors (office) examine tax returns, acquire additional information and prepare audit work papers and reports.
Revenue Field Auditors conduct audits of individuals and a variety of business entities independently and may assist higher level auditors in performing large, complex audits. Most audits are initiated and conducted at the taxpayer’s business location.
Qualified applicants will have a four-year or advanced degree with a major in accounting or equivalent professional experience.
