Essential Job Functions

  • Troubleshoot equipment to evaluate repairs that are needed on concrete pumps/heavy equipment
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems and complete appropriate repairs
  • Follow standard assembly procedures to perform rework and repair on manufactured equipment
  • Disassemble, measure, reposition and install parts to reassemble unit according to engineering drawings, bills of materials, and standard work instructions as required
  • Connect hydraulic lines and fill with oil in preparation for testing
  • Test assembled parts or products to ensure the unit is functioning properly and meets quality specifications
  • Follow established safety and environmental procedures May provide work direction and training to lesser experienced department employees
  • Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices and procedures
  • Maintain tools and the work space in good condition
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned


Physical Demands:

  • Perform repetitive work while moving around, under, and over equipment while on the production floor
  • 95% of the time Perform work outdoors in all weather 5% of the time  


  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Formal training beyond high school (certification or associate’s degree in auto repair), preferred
  • 2-4 years’ experience working with heavy construction equipment, preferred CDL driver’s license with current health card, preferred
  • Solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, gas and diesel systems
  • Technical knowledge of the equipment and tools is required
  • Strong Attention to detail Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read blue prints, hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with computers to look up work instructions, track labor and other tasks as needed
