Pro Staff is currently looking for an Operations Manager for a full-service, custom rubber molding company in the Staples area.  

Manage the activities of the shop floor and follow established procedures and approved processes.  This Manager will supervise all production operations.  Along with supervision will plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner. 

• Overall responsibility for the production schedule in a fast paced, job-shop type manufacturing environment, to ensure on time delivery to our customers.  This includes coordinating and communicating with the Customer service and Sales staff of any issues affecting due dates.
• Overall responsibility for plant efficiency, personnel utilization, equipment utilization, and overall scrap for all three facilities.
• Manage and balance production staff to maximize productivity, while minimizing labor costs.
• Overall responsibility for buildings and manufacturing equipment, using the preventative maintenance program and the Maintenance Manager.  This includes planning for new equipment, and equipment replacement.
• Supervise, directly or indirectly, all production, scheduling, and maintenance staff.
• Drive down costs through use of LEAN strategies and techniques.
• Help develop and implement procedures to meet ISO and TS requirements. 
• Overall responsibility for plant safety by working with Safety Committee and Director of HR & Safety.  Includes holding people accountable to work safely.
• Be an active member of the Management Team, to manage the P & L, drive profit, and to help develop the strategic plan for the company’s future.
• Be an active member of project teams, including the group that meets to kick off new projects, to help ensure they launch successfully.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
EDUCATION:  Requires a B.S. Degree in a technical field, or 5 to 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity 
EXPERIENCE: Requires broad technical and administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills:  Computer literate, particularly in manufacturing software, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.
