Overview
We are looking to add to our growing Planning/Purchasing team! This individual will be providing daily support on both production planning and purchasing activities, working closely with others to achieve on-time shipment, inventory control, and aggressive production schedules. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of both Purchasing and Planning experience as well as CPIM certification. 

Qualifications
2-3 years’ experience in planning/purchasing in a manufacturing environment
Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations, ERP/MRP systems, and engineering processes
Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Lean manufacturing experience desired
CPIM certification desired
 
Responsibilities
Prepare work orders and release to production from an analysis of MRP and/or production rates
Issue purchase orders and change orders for assigned commodities, ensure that proper internal documentation (requisitions/approvals) and external documentation (specifications, drawings) are provided by requestors and to suppliers and follow up as necessary.
Work effectively with all functional teams inside and outside our organization to establish and maintain schedules and inventory levels to meet customer delivery needs
Perform other duties as assigned.
