Hunter Hamilton has an exciting new opportunity for an Equipment Finance Credit Analyst to work near Minnetonka, MN! This is a direct hire, permanent opportunity available immediately! As a Credit Analyst, you will work closely with management providing a variety of equipment leasing credit assistance, including:

Credit Analysis:  Completion of new and existing customer credit analysis.  The primary activities will involve the review and analysis of credits submitted through the application only vendor finance program and review and analysis of credits submitted through the traditional underwriting channel which includes the spreading of financial statements and documenting conclusions reached regarding the relative creditworthiness of potential new customers.  This analysis will also include the securing of trade references, PayNet reports, personal credit bureau reports, and other pertinent information as needed.  This position may also present underwriting recommendations on large credit exposures to management and board credit committees.

Credit Administration:  Ongoing administration and completion of annual/periodic credit reviews on a timely basis.  Primary activities will include the requesting of updated financial information from customers; spreading financial statements, conducting residual value risk analysis, and other key on-going credit related activities that require research on a regular basis.

Lease administration:  This position will assist the Credit Underwriting Manager and Vice President of Portfolio Management, as needed, in traditional lease administration functions.  These activities may include securing appropriate insurance binders, completing UCC filings and completing other administrative activities as needed.


As a qualified Equipment Finance Credit Analyst you will have the following:
  • A degree in business administration with a strong background in finance, a finance degree or other business related degree.
  • A minimum of two years of credit analysis/underwriting experience is preferred and previous work experience in the leasing industry is a plus.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage many tasks or projects concurrently is required.  Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid skills in a Windows-based Microsoft Office computer environment.  Previous experience with LOTUS Notes is a plus.
