Position Description

Responsible for overseeing care system product training related to Clinical Services for internal staff and external customers, and for the management of positive working relationships with external customers.  This includes acting as a key contact for care system and county inquiries about different UCare products and care coordination processes, and participating as a key contributor in clinical training of UCare's care system and county partners.  In addition, this position has primary responsibility to ensure that relevant training materials are developed and maintained.  Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain a working knowledge of new and existing care system products relative to CLS functions, and introduce new care system products to CLS staff and external customers. 

Serve as a key contact and provide support for care systems and counties for clinical issues as they relate to UCare products.

Represent CLS in internal and external care system and county-based work groups or initiatives, such as the care plan consolidation collaborative, etc. 

Identify knowledge gaps with external customers and identify the need for training. 

Develop and maintain CLS-related training materials for external customers, including product information and updates, care coordination manuals, CLS newsletters, etc. 

Conduct CLS-related training as needed for care systems.

Maintain a working knowledge of, regulations, and team functions. 

Coordinate and facilitate care coordination-related projects as directed, such as monthly enrollment files, transitioning large groups of members in response to product change, implementing a new product at county sites, responding to information requests by regulators, etc. Be able to prepare and implement a simple project plan, statement of work, and/or process flow related to different projects, and be able to prepare basic results analysis as needed. 

Work collaboratively with other Clinical Care System/County Liaisons and act as a back-up to support and maintain positive working relationships with care system and county staff. 

Prepare monthly reports on activities and identify opportunities to increase efficiencies, productivity and quality of work.  

Other projects and duties as assigned. 


Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Social Worker with current unrestricted license in Minnesota required.

Required Experience

Two years experience in training. Strong health plan, managed care, health services, or other related experience.

Preferred Experience

One year experience in Medicaid or Medicare risk managed care programs.
