JOIN US AS A LEAD PRODUCT OWNER - PROMOTIONS INSIGHTS/ANALYTICSPRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Lead Product Owner sets the vision and strategy for your area and represents the “voice of the customer”.  You will maintain and prioritize the backlog to ensure the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers. The Lead Product Owner must have an ability to connect the company's strategic plans to the product strategy and break down the work into achievable outcomes while managing many cross-functional partnerships. This requires a blend of experience across Product Management, Promotional Strategy and Guest Experience. This role is part of our Pricing and Promotions Center of Excellence and is critical to enable Target achieve our Promotional strategy.  The Promotions Insights Analytics Product is responsible for developing the suite of analytics that inform promotional effectiveness, optimal offer types, vehicles and strategies.  The collection of these analytics inform both strategic and tactical decisions and are foundational to enabling the team to more efficiently plan the best promotions for Target and our guests.  This role requires a deep understanding of our promotional strategies and setup as well as complex business logic and calculation rules around redemption and attribution, sales performance financial analysis, marketing and guest segmentation.  This requires the ability to clearly articulate complex information across a broad spectrum of stakeholders to effectively drive decisions, evangelize the product and leverage promotion results with influence our strategy, setup decisions, guest experience and financial outcomes.  The primary business partners for this product are cross-functional Promo Product Owners, Price & Promo CoE team members, Check-out, Point-of-Sale, Analytics and Data Science and Guest Experience teams working together to evaluate promotional effectiveness to deliver optimal value for Target.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drafts key product strategies and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product(s)
  • Execute product strategy within a high-velocity agile environment that delivers incremental value quickly and iterates based on guest/user/business feedback
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
  • Manage to key business metrics with an outcome based approach
  • Stay current on industry knowledge, business context and customer personas
  • Lead dual track agile to balance both Delivery and Discovery activities within your team
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Ensure stories and/or Epics clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to the development partners
  • Provide competitive analysis, monitoring, Market, SWOT and Gap Analysis to key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated passion and fluency for the technical and data aspects of your business
  • Establish relationships and influence partner teams to solve complex problems
  • Lead, manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners and stakeholder management for the product(s)
  • Lead and manage small cross-geography SCRUM teams, including UX, engineers, data analysts to ensure the teams are aligned around similar goals and objectives
  • Cultivate strong team culture of openness, trust, collaboration, innovation and delivery
  • Encourages the open exchange of information and viewpoints
JOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years in a Product strategy role
  • 5-7 years of expertise, business/data analytics, coding or developing experience
  • Experience working in an Agile development
  • Experience in an large retail organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • 2+ years in a team leadership role

  • Experience working with data driven products
