Position Title: Sales Executive - Chemical Markets

This position is responsible for the development and administration of business plans, sales and marketing plans, and methods and procedures; and for providing marketing and sales recommendations to the DGC VP, Marketing & Sales for current and other assigned future chemical products for Dakota Gasification Company (DGC). This position is also responsible to administer and execute the marketing program and sales efforts of assigned Chemical Products and/or specific customers. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may involve physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber-related assets or systems.
To perform effectively in this position, the incumbent must have knowledge of marketing and sales in the chemical, petroleum refining, or petrochemical industry normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, an Engineering Accreditation Commission/Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET) accredited Chemical Engineering program, or Chemistry, and four years of related experience in the petrochemical or chemical industry. The incumbent must have the ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office is also required. The incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license.
Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
This position requires frequent sitting and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. The majority of this job is performed indoors, at a desk and generally in an office environment. Up to 50 percent of the time may be spent in travel away from the base office and/or synfuels plant site. The incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
