About this Opportunity

Help Target deliver high-quality, trend-right merchandise to our stores and Target.com at a great value.  Support the overall strategic raw material platforming and leveraging function, enabling speed and flexibility for Owned Brand Apparel.  You will work with a wide range of merchants and sourcing teams, as well as overseas offices and fabric suppliers to turn ideas into great merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

Fabric Data Analysis

  • Conduct seasonal analysis to provide fabric platform recommendations

  • Analyze sales at the fabric level to determine rolling on hand stock shelf

  • Develop goals by brand/division and provide quarterly reporting of platform fabric usage to hold teams accountable

  • Document and provide quarterly financial fabric promise commitment to leaders/finance


Fabric Planning & Production Management

  • Communicate directly with fabric suppliers to manage fabric production and program execution

  • Provide flexibility through managing negotiations of chase/cancel/shift fabric inventories in response to Merchant needs

  • Partner with fabric suppliers to reconcile fabric usage each cycle

  • Communicate weekly fabric inventory needs to fabric suppliers ensuring sufficient raw materials on hand to support speed and flexibility

  • Manage fabric supplier relationships and supplier compliance and accountability to fabric promise

  • Identify solutions for potential raw materials liabilities


Matrix Management

  • Elevate supplier matrix by evaluating capabilities, lead times, and flexibility and providing consistent feedback for SPA (supplier performance assessment)

  • Support Fabric Sourcing Manager in creating fabric suppliers annual and long range plans

 Requirements

  • 4 year degree with strong academic performance

  • Demonstrated leadership and decision making skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Pro-active and self-motivated

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong planning and organization skills

  • Ability to work in a growth environment
