Lead Product Owner - Cost Accounting 

The Product Owner represents the “voice of the customer” for technology enhancements and is accountable for setting a product vision that aligns with Finance/Target strategy, driving the development and health of the product, succeeding against identified metrics and setting short and long-term product goals with the business teams. The Product Owner maintains and prioritizes a backlog of work and ensures that the SCRUM team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all customers.

The Cost Accounting Product Owner will represent the Finance team in driving solutions to support the future Vendor Income strategy, Accounts Payable Match in SAP, estimate and process Freight carrier invoices and process Other Cost of Sales transactions. 

As a Product Owner, you will: 

•  Accountable for development and health of the created product, working in the product model and collaborating with key partners and stakeholder management for the product. 

•  Ensure stories clearly communicate the customer and stakeholder needs to meet key business objectives and strategies for the product. 

•  Maintain and refine backlog:  Create user stories and acceptance criteria and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum business value that align with product strategy.

•  Work in scrum team; ensure alignment within teams around similar goals and objectives and attending all scrum meetings.

•  Possess a general understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.

•  Encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints.

•  Inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organizations direction.

•  Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

Skills Needed:

•  Cross-Enterprise Collaboration at all levels

•  Manage conflict pro-actively and successfully while maintaining strong stakeholder partnerships

•  Strong ability to influence and challenge 

•  Strong project management skills  

•  Anticipate business needs 

•  Experience in technology, Core Finance knowledge

Minimum Requirements:

•  7+ yrs  years of experience with 2-3 years in a product role or equivalent

•  Strong communication skills

•  Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and tech teams 

•  Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc.)

•  Expert in product area

•  Bachelor's degree                                                                                                                                                      

Desired Requirements:

•  Experience in a Technology organization

•  Agile certification

•  Product Owner certification

•  SAP Experience, SAP LIV Experience & Accounts Payable Match process experience

•  MBA

•  Cost Accounting Experience
