The Supplier Performance Management Analyst drives supplier operations improvement through data analysis, cross-functional collaboration and project support.  The Analyst is responsible for identifying and resolving supplier performance defects related to key measurements such as On-Time Ship, On-Time Arrival, and Fill Rate.  This role performs detailed analysis of performance trends and partners with Inventory Management and Supplier Teams to determine root causes and develop action plans.  In addition, the role plays a critical role in supporting Target's inventory management capability by developing and executing training for suppliers and internal stakeholders as necessary.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform detailed analysis of supplier performance using multiple reporting analysis tools - Microstrategy, Merch IQ, DOMO, Excel, Minitab, etc. - to generate actionable insights.
2. Support the Weekly Business Review (WBR) process through ongoing analysis, action planning, and day-to-day interactions with Inventory Management Analysts about supplier performance trends
3. Identify knowledge gaps and lead development of training resources that increase awareness and understanding of metrics, processes, and operational requirements.
4. Develop strong working relationships with Inventory Management (IM), Transportation, Supply Chain and supplier/vendor teams.
5. Develop and manage operational tests in partnership with IM, suppliers, logistics and other key partners
6. Manage a backlog of project priorities and effectively communicate progress and roadblocks within the team
7. Identify roadblocks and communicate proactively to key stakeholders alerting them of potential impacts of internal or supplier processes
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the Director S&OP - Supplier Performance Management.  Works within the Supplier Performance Management team focused on Partnership & Performance Improvement.  Has direct working relationships with Inventory Management, Transportation/Logistics, HQ & Field Distribution, and external Supplier Partners.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 0-3 years experience in retail or supply chain. 
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous and complex problems using data.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across functional areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in Inventory Management, Retail Supply Chain, Supplier Compliance or related field
• Experience with statistical analysis.
