Engages subject matter experts and support teams to develop and drive event strategies, optimized solutions and result based scenarios that are focused on decision making criteria (quality, service and cost impact). Balances category management, business development and collaborative project leadership to deliver results. Manages and reports on progress against category goals and ensures desired outcomes, while communicating progress in a timely and fact-based manner.
  • Leads cross functional work streams, provides sourcing and negotiation guidance in primary categories
  • Influences development of concepts in support of strategic planning processes
  • Communicates and presents to internal and external stakeholders
  • Executes event strategies and buying programs for indirect spend categories
  • Aware of supply/demand dynamics and industry benchmark data
  • Executes category strategy and implementation
  • Is aware of policies and deploys best practices in ethical business behavior
  • Understands multi-tiered supply chain costing and delivery models, and is able to apply them through-out the project, product or contract lifecycle
  • Reviews and uses financial analysis methods, such as TCO, clean sheet and award scenarios
  • Effectively handles a variety of conflict solutions
  • Leads certain strategic and business-critical sourcing events, negotiations and contracting efforts
  • Reviews, negotiates and updates contract documents, including statements of work, schedules and amendments, to appropriately capture terms, conditions and pricingĀ 
  • Executes complex projects
  • Understands external market conditionsRequirements
  • 4-year college degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in public speaking and presenting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule around sourcing eventsDesired Requirements
