Humera is seeking a Credentialing Specialist for our client in Minneapolis, MN. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the personnel are properly trained, licensed and certified as mandated by state and federal regulations. The incumbent ensures that all services offered by these industries meet standards set by state and federal government agencies. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will review applications, verify both individual and facility accreditation, maintain records of verification and work with auditors as needed. The Credentialing Specialist maintains databases in which they would input new information or update existing information regarding employee training, licenses, education, continuing education and relevant job experience. This is a long term opportunity!
Duties:
  • Must be strong in details, comfortable maneuvering stated and federal websites, and intermediate with excel (Ex. pivot tables, macros) Non negotiable
  • Must have STRONG critical thinking skills and be able to use those skills to accurately complete the credentialing of a provider including running state and federal verifications, obtaining missing documents and identifying gaps in the individual credentialing applications. Non negotiable
  • Must have 3-4 years in health care and at least one year of Credentialing experience. Non negotiable
  • Must be comfortable and open to taking direction from peers. The permanent employees will be responsible for the day to day oversight and will be assigning priorities and day to day workloads
  • Must be highly adaptable to change as this project will twist and turn as we get into it. The person needs to be able to roll with punches and not become disjointed or unproductive as a result of immediate changes
  • This project is high volume, so not only is speed important but so is accuracy. There is virtually ZERO room for error in the data that will be entered
