ENTERPRISE DATA OFFICER

Position Description

This position is responsible to provide vision and strategy for enterprise data activities.  Responsible for enterprise wide data strategy, data management, governance, quality control, and lead a data-driven culture across the enterprise. Manage day-to-day operations of the Data Services Team in project delivery and adherence to data quality and process governance.  Must be result-driven, highly creative, analytical, strategic thinker, work comfortably in a collaborative setting, comfortable working with business top-leadership and executives, highly organized, ability to provide guidance on multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines, and have ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.

·Provide key metrics around value of data, recommendations for monetizing / demonetizing data.

·Advocate and serve as change agent for implementing data governance and data strategy.

·Serve as key stakeholder for data related initiatives and provide oversight and direction from a governance perspective.

·Define strategies around data quality, create and manage sub-working groups to meet the strategies.

·Ensure successful delivery of approved data projects, and data strategy.

·Manage relationship with key stakeholders, business partners, and members of the Data Services Team.

·Foster a positive and open-minded environment which will boost team morale.  Recognize diverse skillsets and ability of various team members, motivating them so that they work together as a unit towards a common goal.  Promote transparency, allow team members to make decisions among themselves to build a sense of ownership.

·Review current trends in data technology and methods, create business case and ROI for use in the enterprise data roadmap.

·Maintain the data strategy and governance roadmaps.

·Collaborate with and influence all lines of business to ensure an aligned data strategy.

·Provide cross functional leadership for data professionals across the enterprise.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology degree; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Seven years of experience in all faucets of Data Management including Data Architecture, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Integration (ETL, ESB) Data Governance Analytics, and Data Mining.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in healthcare.
