Overview

The School of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas invites applicants for a full-time tenure track open ranked faculty position with expertise in mental health in social work with an emphasis on addiction and/or health disparities, beginning in Fall, 2018.

Responsibilities: Nine (9)-month faculty position. Faculty are expected to teach six courses per academic year, which may include summer. Other faculty responsibilities include dissertation and student advising, professional activities in research, presentation and publication, and requisite faculty service.

The School of Social Work at the University of St. Thomas is a joint program with St. Catherine University, offering BSW, MSW and DSW programs. It is a thriving school with approximately 600 students, and is well respected in the practice community. It offers innovative programs that strive to meet community needs. Qualifications

Ph.D. required. Professional license eligibility required. Minimum of two years social work practice experience post MSW required. Ability to articulate a scholarly agenda required. Ability to articulate a diverse/multicultural perspective and cultural agility required. Classroom experience in accredited social work program preferred.
