    Humera is seeking a Senior Accountant to work for our client in Wayzata, MN. The candidate will be responsible for the coordination and execution of accounting and control activities related to human resource/total reward activities for the business, Trade and Structured Finance (TSF) and Global Treasury. This position will have a primary contact in each business. A large portion of the work requires access to confidential salary and bonus information that others in the business do not have access to. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. This also drives a need for someone to be able to independently work through the reconciliation. This is a long term opportunity until mid 2018!
    Duties:
    60%
    • Provide GL accounting services for selected business unit/function partners, which include accounting for administrative expenses,
    • Assist in payment processing
    • Coordinate month-end general ledger close
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
    20%
    • Act as primary point of contact for selected business unit/function partners for which you are the primary GL accountant
    • Ensure all internal controls are in place and monitored, financial processes are performed timely and accurately, and all accounting is done in accordance with policies and GAAP.
    15%
    • Cross train within GL Accounting team to create depth and provide support to other team members
    • May serve as backup for critical tasks for other members
    5%
    • Participate in process improvement projects within CBS Finance

    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 6 years accounting experience
    • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal controls
    • Highly motivated and self directed
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Ability to handle complex situations in a changing environment
    • Ability to handle time pressures and to meet deadlines
    • Ability to be an effective team player
    • High level of proficiency in Excel
    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with JDE and PeopleSoft
    • CPA/CMA

    Schedule:
    • Monday - Friday from 8:00 am 5:00 pm
