We are looking for a talented 3D capture technician with entrepreneurial spirit to join our small production team and will be instrumental in scaling computational photography for Target.  This role is a critical in the successful production of 3D content for a huge brand in retail.  This individual must have exceptional time management and problem solving skills.  The position requires a subject matter expert in vision system technology, lighting, and computational photography applications. It's a role that will allow you to grow your own personal, and technical skill-set inside of a large corporate retail company. This position will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

What You'll Do:
  • Strong hands on experience in 3D vision capture techniques and technology hardware, software, lighting and vision image processing.
  • Monitor, track and publish production key performance indicators at the project level.
  • Ability to partner with global teams to manage pipeline and resources.
  • Understanding of every aspect of the capture workflow, as well as be able to think outside of the box to come up with techniques and tools that work better.
  • Understand and attack the more complex issues, and help the other capturers with technical hurdles, activing as a liaison between Art and Engineering disciplines.
  • Work with project leaders on schedules, quality expectations, and other project criteria.
  • Partner with project managers/producers to align on booking resources and to procure new talent.
  • Support the leads to evaluate, test 3D scanning and photogrammetry methods and systems.
  • Assist the team in refining workflows as well as supporting and training new resources.
  • Participate in defining product requirements.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. 
  • Participate in multi-functional teams - not only to get the work done but to optimize current methods and share work.
  • Ability to travel to interact with internal and external business and technical partners.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in the industry and harness them to drive initiatives forward.
Requirements:
  • Minimum AAS, BS in computation imaging/photography, photography, 3D technology
  • Knowledge of CGI, photo, video operations or computer vision/graphics
  • Knowledge of 3Dreconstruction from camera images and depth sensors
  • Process and KPI driven
  • Strong problem solving, communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred:
  • Prior experience involving 3D scanning of human body is a big plus
  • Has experience with Agile methods such as Scrum
