People Incorporated is searching for candidates for our Residential programs. Our Mental Health Practitioners create a supportive environment and help people learn coping skills and independent living skills in order to help them move in the direction of their hopes and dreams. Our residents are adults who manage all their own personal cares.  Position responsibilities include:

  • Creating and revising Mental Health Assessments and Service Plans for people in our program
  • Learning and understanding each resident's treatment plans in order to best support their goals
  • Documenting observations about the residents' activities and behaviors
  • Counseling residents through crises and supporting their development of coping skills
  • Coaching residents on the development of greater independent living skills
  • Joining residents for recreational activities
  • Administering medications

We currently have full-time and part-time openings in Dakota county.  Our evening shifts include a regular hourly wage plus an evening shift differential!  You will be hired for a regular schedule at one of our programs and training will be provided for any medication administration.  In general, employees must be flexible to attend supervision meetings, staff meetings and ongoing training opportunities as well as meeting the needs of our 24/7 programs.

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Clean driving record with a current and valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Three years full-time experience working with people with serious mental illness
