Position Summary Information Position Responsibilities

The Department of Occupational Therapy at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time, 12 month ranked faculty position. Rank and salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities: The OTD program director is responsible for the overall management and administration of the OTD program, providing leadership, and demonstrating professional competence in teaching, scholarship, and service. The program director must demonstrate commitment to the mission of the University and foster an atmosphere that abides by AOTA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. The selected candidate is expected to have responsibilities in teaching, research and service.

The OTD Director is responsible for all program planning and evaluation. The Director will provide oversight to the curriculum, make revisions as necessary, support OTD faculty in curricular decisions and activities, as well as oversee doctoral and capstone projects. They will develop and manage the budget, as well as allocate and maintain expenditures. The Director is responsible to recruit and oversee personnel and support professional development of faculty, as well as coordinate student advising and activities related to prospective students and admission procedures. The ideal applicant will know accreditation standards and assure they are met. They will review and revise OTD program information for publications and represent the OTD program within the University, to external groups and professional associations.

The Department of Occupational Therapy encourages and mentors faculty who have experience with a variety of communities and seeks an applicant for this position who demonstrates success in working with diverse populations.

Position Qualifications

Required qualifications: Successful applicants will hold a Doctoral degree earned by September 2017 and have a minimum of 8 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy that includes: clinical practice as an occupational therapist, administrative experience and scholarship. Successful applicants must be eligible for licensure in Minnesota and have NBCOT certification.
