HR Generalist

Doherty Top Talent is partnering with a leading metal manufacturing and finishing company in New Hope in search of an experienced HR Generalist. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with business hours Monday through Friday. The HR Generalist will manage the administration of HR policies, procedures, programs and the day-to-day operation of HR at the division level. The primary responsibilities include the functional areas of employee relations, recruiting, training, development, employee engagement, benefits, compensation, safety, and employment law compliance.

HR Generalist Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities · Implement and maintain policies and procedures. · Responsible for legal compliance and partners with department leaders on labor laws. · Recruit, interview and help make hiring decisions for all hourly roles. · Partners with the HR team on leadership development and succession planning. · Facilitate training and development for employees and leaders. · Coordinate and facilitates new employee orientation and training. · Responsible for employee relations including conflict resolution and investigations. · Administer drug testing as needed. · Administer employee recognition programs. · Responsible for the reporting of daily labor and providing data analysis on overtime, attendance, benefit enrollment, etc. · Coordinates employee benefit programs such as healthcare, dental, STD, LTD, FMLA, 401k, etc. in partnership with the Compensation & Benefits Analyst. · Facilitate hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, disciplinary action, PTO, etc. with the appropriate leader/supervisor. · Works directly with Safety Leader to ensure training programs are in place and that ISO, OSHA and company requirements are being met. · Responsible for HR communications

HR Generalist Education/Qualifications · 4-year college degree in Human Resources or related field, previous Generalist experience · PHR certification preferred but not required. · Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, HRIS is required. · Must be approachable and highly motivated with a very high aptitude for problem solving and leading by example. · Must be creative, innovative, flexible, adaptable and highly organized. · Confidentiality is a must.
