SMALL BUSINESS LOAN OFFICER

Doherty Staffing has partnered with a growing, employee-owned financial institution in their search for a Small Business Loan Officer in St. Cloud, MN. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with initial screening by Doherty. Successful candidate will receive a competitive base salary, complemented by an attractive commission structure, and exceptional benefits package.

SUMMARY The Small Business Loan Officer will develop and manager SBA loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and which provide maximum profitability to the bank with the minimum of risk. He/she will also seek out opportunities to promote SBA lending through industry contacts and informal networks.

SMALL BUSINESS LOAN OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES · Increase the bank's visibility as SBA Preferred Lender through community outreach and public speaking opportunities. · Interview loan applicants, collect and analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the loan request. Make presentations to loan committee. · Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect past due accounts. · Establish and maintain a quality SBA portfolio within guidelines · Responsible for the flow of SBA loan throughout application and approval process, this includes all LowDoc, GP, CLP, and PLP processing channels. Directs the closing of loan and oversees the servicing of the loan to ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and SBA requirements. · Coordinate and present SBA seminars to bankers and/or customers in an effort to continually promote the knowledge and use of SBA loan programs.

SMALL BUSINESS LOAN OFFICER REQUIREMENTS · 2-5 years' experience in commercial or consumer lending · Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required · Excellent sales and negotiation skills · Proven ability to develop strong relationships with clients, prospects, and business partners. · Strong analytical, organizational and presentation skills with exceptional interpersonal and communicative skills with both individuals and groups · Computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
