Perform a variety of loan processing duties:

  • Assist with obtaining required information for mortgage loan applicants regarding verification of employment and deposits, appraisals, credit reports, title work, payoffs/subordinations, flood certification, tax transcripts, homeowner’s insurance, and any other pertinent information necessary for the loan file.
  • Process and verify documents received for mortgage loans, and update files/systems per the verified information
  • Prepare, stack, and submit files to lenders for underwriting
  • Input and update required customer information into secondary market loan origination software
  • Upload loans from loan origination software to lender websites for compliance and disclosure benchmarks, electronic delivery of loan application, and run automated underwriting findings (Fannie Mae - DU and Freddie Mac - LP)
  • Assist processing manager with preparing closing documents or requests
  • Assist post-closing with follow up on missing or incorrect documentation when needed
  • Answer questions from loan officers and customers pertaining to loans in process, potential loan requests, and general information
  • Completes and prints appropriate disclosures for all loan applications, and works with loan officer to deliver in timely fashion to applicant
  • Assist loan officer in requesting and following up on missing documentation
  • Interpret underwriting conditional approvals and collects information/documents needed to clear the conditions for a final approval
  • Assist processing manager in arranging/coordinating loan closings with lender, title closer, loan officer, borrowers, and realtors.
  • Gather and deliver appropriate documentation to compliance department for HMDA tracking and reporting
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to assist other departments, as necessary
  • Follow up on receipt of final title polices and recorded mortgages, and deliver to final lender
  • Serve as back up for other functions in the department
