As a Physician Assistant or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner you will:

  • Be responsible for conducting admission histories and physical exams for psychiatrically hospitalized youth
  • Provide comprehensive direct services to patients and their families including an assessment of physical and psychiatric functioning and pharmacological interventions
  • Provide diagnostic interviews as well as individual, family and group therapy services to patients and their families
  • Engage in regular collaboration with physicians to review cases and treatment
  • Make appropriate medical referrals when indicated
  • Provide education to staff and lead health-related groups for patients and families
  • Work with Human Resources to provide employee health-related services including assessment, treatment and referral (if needed) for work related injuries and illnesses



  • Current RN and NP license in Minnesota
  • Current PA certification by the NCCPA
  • Oriented and educated in gender, culture and age appropriate care
  • Knowledge of an ability to follow the requisite state statutes regulating his/her practice
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to treat all age populations consistent with licensure (or capacity to develop these skills)
  • Ability to manage a variety of clinical obligations in a timely manner
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation
  • Strong skills in case and time management
