As a Front Desk Medical Assistant, you will:

  • Carry out all activities required to maintain organization in the department including filing, data entry, communication facilitation among staff, and data gathering/verification

  • Be available to cover taking vitals, drawing blood and refilling medications in absence of nursing staff
  • Schedule patients and contact patients for rescheduling when needed

  • Answer phones/transfer calls as needed

  • Ensure appropriate forms are obtained when patient arrives

  • Prepare and transmit patient charge tickets

  • Distribute/route mail appropriately

  • Retrieve transcriptions, recorded messages, consults and recommendations and place into patients’ medical records

  • Assemble/analyze/pull charts for patient appointments and as needed

  • Process ROI’s (Release of Information)

The hours for this opportunity are Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. 


  • High School diploma

  • 1-2 years’ experience in healthcare support preferred

  • Medical Assistant background preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to process charts and related documents with concrete variables in standardized situations and apply problem solving techniques to those instances

  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain confidentiality
