As a TSS Operations Manager, your goal is to manage and evolve critical & differentiated capabilities across the TSS enterprise which represent high value and profit for Target through the use of Project Management principles.PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the fundamentals of our organizational capabilities by developing and driving critical processes, procedures and management systems.
  • Responsible for leading and delivering small-scale projects related to the capability fundamentals.  May also include delivery of individual workstreams within larger-scale projects.  
  • Collaborate as part of a team across TSS, Merchandising, additional internal teams, and our vendor partners to identify & advance optimal organizational capabilities and solutions impacting TSS and total Target. Be able to influence others on behalf of TSS.
  • Research capabilities to identify, analyze and evaluate strengths and opportunities within business processes and management systems.
  • Participate in identifying strategic opportunities for capability advancement and developing innovative solutions to complex business problems. 
  • Leverage project management tools & techniques such as: issue framing, waterfall, project charters, and dashboards to run projects.
  • Support data quality and data intelligence that drives critical decisions by business teams.Make connections across broad portfolio of work to understand implications to projects and fundamentals.  
  • Define and measure project success metrics and monitor change progress. 
REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:Reports to Director, TSS Operations.  Interacts with all levels of leadership and team in the TSS organization, from President to specialist.  Works closely with HQ and Overseas Offices. JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years relevant experience and familiarity with areas such as sourcing, merchandising, and supply chain.
  • Strong thought leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and influence a varied audience to achieve a common objective
  • Problem solving & analytical ability. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, clear communications & scenario building.
  • Strong organizational & multi-tasking ability
  • Strong adaptability & resiliency skills.  The work is dynamic and the ability to change directions seamlessly is critical.
  • Excellent application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Smartsheet)  
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of project management
  • Project Management Professional ( PMP), Lean, or Agile certifications
  • Experience working with Multi Cultural/International Audiences.
