The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Playful Learning Lab Project Coordinator position within the Department of Engineering. This is a 30 hours/week contract position that is anticipated to last approximately one year depending on business needs.
The Playful Learning Lab Project Coordinator is responsible for collaborating on, working as a team member and being the main administrative support for objectives related to an integrated educational program, specifically the UST Playful Learning Lab (PLL). The position reports directly to the PLL Director, and may also support the OK Go Sandbox leadership team (which consists of the PLL director and members of the band, OK Go). This position is responsible for budget management, contract and invoicing with external project partners, and logistics for events related to the project. Additional tasks will include support on writing and editing project documents, and handling project inquiries.
- Administrative Support – provide support to the PLL Director and project members as directed by the PLL Director including but not limited to setting up meetings, managing appointments, taking minutes, and other projects as assigned. Assist with preparation, processing and reconciling financial transactions including reimbursements, purchase orders, check requests, deposits, etc.
- Production Logistics - Coordinate logistics for film shoots and corporate/conference presentation trips as directed by PLL Director.
Coordinate classroom testing of OK Go Sandbox content.
Contract Administration - In consultation with the PLL Director, negotiate external vendor and presenter contracts. Work with vendors to ensure accurate contract needs, timely delivery of goods and services, and appropriate contractor invoicing and timely payment. Oversee payment of expenses including any travel reimbursements. Communication: Builds and maintains relationships with key partners across the University of St. Thomas and with OK Go Sandbox leadership team. Develops communication and responds to inquiries. Coordinates communication through email and the administration of mailing lists.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications: High school education or the equivalent and four years of administrative experience preferably in higher education.
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years' experience in program administration.
Knowledge of: Computers and associated software (e.g., Banner, Microsoft Office); record management principles and practices; standard office practices and procedures, correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation; copy editing experience and an eye for detail.
Skill in: Designing, developing, and administering programs. Self-directed. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Abilities: The ability to work with diverse populations. The ability to use initiative and independent judgment within general policy guidelines.
