System Operations Training Administrator

Minnkota Power is seeking qualified applicants for a System Operations Training Administrator located in our Grand Forks offices.  This position is responsible for the systematic approach to training of the Power System Operators (PSOs) who direct and support the daily real-time operation of the regional electric system, including dispatch functions associated with responding to outages, emergencies and other routine service work.  Job Responsibilities include:

  1. Development and administration of the training program for PSOs
  2. Delivering recurrent on the job training and qualifying new PSOs   
  3. Ensuring PSO Training Compliance with NERC Standards and maintaining training databases   
  4. Administering continuing education hours for NERC certification      

Individual must have a minimum of a two-year technical education in electrical technology or equivalent and must be able to successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment.  Applicable experience includes 3 years as a PSO or a year as an engineer or two years as an electrical technical educator. Must possess or be able to obtain NERC certification as a Reliability Coordinator.
