The Finance Process & Technology (FP&T) organization is establishing an Operational Services Director that will have a team responsible for Security, Master Data, Reporting Solutions, and Operational Support. This leader will have teams responsible for creating strategy and its execution for essential finance business services across Target. As a peer of Product Directors and the Program Services Director, understanding risk and controls to create effective and efficient governance will be key as they build vision and team culture to protect data and ensure compliance in support of Enterprise and Finance Strategy and Financial Operations and Accounting

Principle duties and responsibilities

  • Governance of Finance Master Data - coordination, innovation
  • Research and Execution of Finance Master Data
  • Execution on Master Data in systems that supports Finance Master Data across the enterprise
  • Execution of Segregation of Duties (SOD) and Access related security for SAP in partnership with Product Teams/TTS (execution) and Finance Risk and Controls (strategy)
  • Operational support work that spans finance teams and delivers value throughout Finance (Integration processing and re-processing, data validation, EUS, system support, etc.)
  • Consistently review operational Support to reduce and eliminate the need for the support through the use of automation and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with internal resources (and external resources as required like E&Y, consultants, and vendors/suppliers)
  • Shared support services: MD, Operational work (close process, system admin for concur, Security), payroll support- weekly payrun check list, Workday involvement
  • Data in the right place at the right time for users

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years general business experience
  • 5+ years in Finance
  • Strong understanding of business capabilities across Target Corporation or a technology/finance organization
  • Effective at cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence

Desired Requirements

  • 3 years SAP (or other ERP) experience
  • 3 years system access experience
  • 3 years Master Data Management experience
  • Direct Leadership Experience
